Digital transformation is bringing a sea change to how organizations—irrespective of their industry, size, and domain—operate. Withend-to-end infrastructural solutions provided by Dell Technologies, we are now doing great as the infrastructure partner of a whopping number of organizations while they gain momentum in their transformation journey. A huge number of attendees from our partner and customer base testified that Dell was always at the forefront of their transformation drive and this has been a remarkable feat for us!
Innovations rocked at Dell Technologies World 2018
In today’s organizations, IT modernization has emerged as a necessity to enhance the performance and automation of data center. With this in mind, it is our constant endeavor to drive the fast adoption and optimization of the modern data center. And our aim is simple. We help our customers leverage new-age technologies for their business benefits.
This year’s Dell Technologies World witnessed some path-breaking innovations across our portfolios. To cater to emerging modern data center workloads, the new PowerMax storage array was announced. It is equipped with built-in machine learning engine and end-to-end NVMe. Described by Jeff Clarke, Vice Chairman for Products & Operations at Dell, as“the world’s fastest storage array today and in the future,” it is able to deliver up to 10 million inputs/outputs per second (IOPS) and 50 percent better times.
Hyper-convergence, for me, is another area for consideration when it comes to fast-tracking the process of digital transformation and reaping the benefits modernization quickly. We have already strengthened our position as a market leader in the global hyper-converged infrastructure space. Bearing a testimony to it are several advancements in our Dell EMC VxRail and Dell EMC VxRack SDDC, which will accelerate the adoption of VMware-based multi-clouds, enabling more organizations to shift to modern and multi-cloud environment.
Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning were two significant areas that stole the limelight at Dell Technologies World 2018. As Jeff Clarke had said, “Data is power. This is where the power of AI and ML becomes real when organizations are able to deliver better products, services, solutions and experiences based on data-driven decisions.”
While Michael Dell, in his keynote, revealed, “It’s a new disruptive firm born in the world of AI.” He added that companies stared using AI and machine learning to tap into data for better progress. For him, “If AI is your rocket ship, data is your fuel. Data will become your most valuable asset.” I believe that with user-focused AIs, we can go a long way to make our life easier, boost ROI and go beyond our human capacity. At Dell, we are putting the best foot forward in each of these areas, including:
• AI Engine for innovating on compute
• AI Fuel for storing, managing, and protecting the data
• AI Brain for providing the multi-cloud platform for AI
Pushing forward the new normal at Dell family
At Dell EMC, we are leveraging the potential of AI in our product portfolio. For instance, the new capabilities of Dell EMC PowerEdge servers, PowerMax storage, and Dell Precision workstations, which were announced during the event, will empower our customers to manage and analyze all their structured and unstructured business data better. Likewise, the 14th generation Dell EMC PowerEdge servers are capable of deriving intelligent insights from data in real time, in line with the aim to provide better business outcomes.
Innovate to thrive ahead—this philosophy forms the keystone of all our endeavors. It defined our path in the past and sets our course of actions in the coming time. The celebration of our game-changing innovations and disruptive ideas at Dell Technology World help us march towards a disruptive future.
